Q.R.P

Quest.Room.Project
"Sounds from life. The sounds made by womb. By urban womb. If you have a conforming purpose we will long together. It’s a greater pleasure when light sadness appears. It’s worth of sounding for. We will sound together."

Rift Fractal

With a strong focus on unique electronic sounddesign and structures, v/a - Vortex has turned into a solid collection of next level sonic wizardry. All of the artists involved have dedicated an extremely respectable amount of time and effort to sculpt their submission until it was perfect. Could it be possible that one reason for this has to do with the fact that v/a - Vortex was a compilation that simply needed to be made? \ \ \ \ free download all -> http://www.entity.be/entity/releases/release50.htm ||| http://www.entity.be

“Digital Snow”

Sounds like electroacoustic, glitch, post-noise… Nikita Golyshev, known as CD-R, and Bogdan Dullsky (Quest.Room.Project) met virtually and have recorded an album. First, they share music file sources in the net, and then processed with real-time sound recordings through peer-to-peer connection. The result is a collage of acoustic and digital pieces, gathered in one snowfall. Pyromania

Iannis Xenakis (1922-2001) is one of the most important composers of the 20th century. His works span every media and numerous approaches, electronic and acoustical, from orchestral to "musique concrete". Also a mathematician, experimental engineer and architect, he is a true cult figure. This compilation is a collection of musical dedications to Iannis Xenakis, realized as the exclusive compositions by the respective authors (Alva Noto,Zenial,Kevin Krebs,Alexey Borisov,Quest Room Project,CD-R). more -> http://www.excentrica.org/musica/exc006/

01 The reason for the surfacing

"The reason for surfacing" appears like a shadow of a doubt that gradually turns into overwhelming certainty. Almost inaudible at the beginning, "Assemblage" soon escalates to several emotional outbursts, before exhaustion will take its tribute in "Possesion" and create a haunted, threatening atmosphere. As reminiscence of the beginning, "Combined Exercises" begins with a flute solo and continues to pick up previous motives to escalate them to a wall of sound. Finally the dissonances wither away and make room for the last remnants of the ever occuring flute theme. A cycle has been completed and we are at the beginning again... - Olliver Wichmann. music: ©2007 Bogdan Dullsky ©2007 test tube

04 Combined Exercises

Bogdan Dullsky, the creative head behind the Quest.Room.Project, describes his intentions on the project's website as "a search of space for the life leaving for borders of habitual linearity". But "Room Number: Fiducial Banality" doesn't attempt to descibe a solution to break free: It's left up to the listeners themselves to recognise their personal ever returning patterns of life and change them by their own strategy. or - as Bogdan concludes - as an "attempt to live by some own rules on which borders it is possible to breathe freely".» - Olliver Wichmann http://www.monocromatica.com/netlabel/releases/tube078.htm

01-break_of_a_curve

Bogdan Dullsky (QRP) explores with "Room Number" in great depth the borders of abstraction and absurdity. He renders a world consisting of the strangest harmonics, dancing around a variety of instruments (such as flute and bass guitar) which he plays very proficiently. Skillfully designed sounds are excessively displayed and the sheer number of them alone will never leave you bored. Count in the extraordinary artwork from Russian visual artist "Barandash" and you know you're heading towards a unique listening experience. http://www.qart.in http://www.barandash.ru http://www.archive.org/details/ntt043

THE TIN DRUM AND THE GRANDFA'S DREAM

…Little Oskar dressed in the fascist uniform came home. There was birthday party. Date of birth of his brother what Oscar had been recognized as son. Acclaimed as the greatest German novel written since the end of World War II, The Tin Drum is the autobiography of thirty-year-old Oskar Matzerath, who has lived through the long Nazi nightmare and who, as the novel begins, is being held in a mental institution. Willfully stunting his growth at three feet for many years, wielding his tin drum and piercing scream as anarchistic weapons, he provides a profound yet hilarious perspective on both German history and the human condition in the modern world. This novel became a basis of one-nominal film. This film has inspired creation of this music.

Quest.Room.Project

This project is a search of space for the life leaving for borders of habitual linearity. It is an attempt to designate the objects existing outside of any traditions of society - by means of a thin musical marker. An attempt to live by some own rules on which borders it is possible to breathe freely.

This project is the electroacoustic model of an amorphous room where any concentration on details is inadmissible, where it is impossible to estimate the sizes and distances. Everything is so conditional, that the reserve becomes quite tangible substance known as "freedom".
